Perched at 1,570 metres above sea level, Katun Potrk is set in the heart of the pristine wilderness of Mount Sinjajevina, just 15 kilometres from Kolašin. Surrounded by vast pastures and untouched landscapes, the household offers a unique view of Lake Savina and Jablan Peak (2,203 m) – perfect destinations for mountain walks and exploration. Here, tradition and nature live in perfect harmony. The hosts are engaged in livestock farming and agriculture, and visitors can immerse themselves in the rhythm of mountain life – from morning milking to making kajmak and cheese. Around 20 cows are raised on the farm, alongside chickens and pigs, and everything served at the table comes directly from the pastures and the barn. One of the highlights is the Kolašin layered cheese, a local delicacy famed for its structured texture and exceptional flavour – the result of livestock fed on mountain herbs and breathing clean alpine air. Also available are homemade kajmak, milk, yoghurt, and herbal teas made from hand-picked wild medicinal plants from the slopes of Sinjajevina.Guests are welcome to take part in daily farm life – assisting with the animals, gathering herbs, or simply enjoying the peaceful nature that this place so generously provides.
